 THERE was more than a touch of deja vu for Lytham St Anne’s businessman Jon Doyle at the annual CHIPS award ceremony.

For the 49-year-old scooped the top title of CHIPS Franchisee of the Year for the second time in just two years.

The award, sponsored by accountants CP Waites, was presented to Jon at CHIPS 7th Annual Christmas Conference held at Ramside Hall in County Durham. Nick Waites handed over a store plaque, engraved trophy and £250 – just like he did in October 2006. 
 
The award was presented in recognition of Jon’s continuing hard work and top class level of commitment to his store and the CHIPS brand as a whole.  
 
Winning the award again has delighted Jon who opened his video games store at 21, The Crescent, almost six years ago.  

 ”I was very pleased when I won this award two years ago and it is great to see all our hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed once again,” said Jon, who works alongside his son Steven, Phil Nettleton, Lee Revill and Charles Atherton.

“The team here are always striving to offer our customers the very best in terms of customer service and range of product and they have played a huge part in the store’s success.” 
 

CHIPS Joint Managing Director Don McCabe said: “It would have been very easy for Jon to have rested on his laurels but he is determined to keep his store on top. CHIPS Lytham St Anne’s is very well run, well stocked store and Jon is a very deserving winner once again.” 
 
CHIPS now has 11 company stores, an award-winning website and 19 franchise shops from Glasgow to the south coast.

CHIPS Lytham St Anne’s is open seven days a week and buys, sells and trades all new and secondhand consoles, games and accessories.
