The 30-year-old is trying to build up the most complete collection of PS3 games in the UK and as you can see from our picture, he is well on the way.

Clearly Alan is a big fan of games but he also enjoys going to the cinema and loves both action and horror movies.

Alan, who lives in Chorlton is never alone when he plays games. He can always count on “back seat” gamer Isabel – his pet cat – who always watches his progress on the big screen.

THE GOOD OLD DAYS

Customers at CHIPS Chorlton can be forgiven if they think they have stepped back in time when they walk into the store.

For games fanatic Faisal Ali, who runs the Barlow Moor Road shop, has installed a vintage arcade cabinet.

The cabinet has pride of place in the centre of his store and helps to raise awareness of retro 2D games and regulars have had great fun playing on it too.

BUDDING ARTIST

ANTHONY Reid is the latest budding artists to turn his attention to CHIPS.

CHIPS Chorlton owner Faisal Ali was delighted when the 10-year-old popped into the store to show off this great poster he had designed.

Anthony is a pupil at New Moston Primary School, is a keen swimmer and likes football video games. Obviously he also likes to draw in his spare time too.
